OEC and CFO on Visa 186

Upon granting of the Visa 186 application, is the OEC from POEA and/or the Emigrant registration sticker issued by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas still required before leaving the Philippines?

Ang pakakaalam ko po ay CFO registration lang ang need mo since Visa 186 ay permanent residency naman. yung OEC from POEA ay para sa mga Temporary visa holders. Pede nyo din po i-confirm yan mismo sa CFO site.

- Documents preparations and lots of reading re: Au migration
2023.January
- Passport renewal
- Personal / family documents (PSA, TOR, PRC license, etc.)
- Request for Visa sponsorship (Current employer - Melbourne based company)
2023.February
- VETASSESS requirements (ANZSCO 312211)
- Visa sponsorship granted by Employer (Yey!)
- PTE preparations / self-review (purchased 1month access APEUni)
- PTE exam booked
2023.March
- Visa options narrowed down to SC186 or SC482 (company is already accredited sponsor)
- PTE exam day (March 13, Monday)
- PTE result (March 16 - Passed : Superior score)
2023.April
- VETASSESS submitted / lodged April 4 (Online application + Priority processing)
- VETASSESS application completed (April 14 - Positive outcome)
(At this point, we are looking at SC482 since my employer is already an accredited sponsor but
after checking with their agent, accredited sponsor status is already expired.)
2023.May
- Contacted Migration Agent (I was assessed, documents checked and concluded that I am SC186 eligible!)
- Signed service agreement with our Migration Agent
2023.June
- Employment contract signed (June 13)
- Visa lodged for principal applicant + family members (June 13)
- Medical exam request (June14)
- Medical exam (June 20 and 27)
- Medical exam furtherance notice - medical report request (June 30)
2023.July
- NBI Clearance (July 3 uploaded)
- Medicals cleared - No actions needed (July 24)
- Waiting for grant...
