The Professional Year (PY) program is for international students who have graduated from an Australian uni and are looking for a pathway from university to employment and residency in Australia. The PY program is a job preparation program designed to equip graduates with professional skills for employment in the Australian work force. The PY program is approved by the Department of Home Affairs (formerly the Department of Immigration and Border Protection), which grants 5 migration points upon the successful completion of the course.
