  You only need to apply for the family tax benefit and all other eligible benefits are automatically added as well. Ang alam ko hindi ka pwede mag apply ng rent assistance without being first eligible sa family tax benefit. Kung baga add on benefit lang siya ng family tax benefit. Atsaka iyun family tax benefit hindi ka eligible doon unless you have a job kasi tax benefit siya at hindi unemployment benefit. Ang pagkaka alam ko lahat ng unemployment related benefits tulad ng Newstart allowance may 2 year waiting period pero iyun mga benefits that are activated when you have a job are immediately available for families with children.
  
  So in summary hindi ka yata pwede kumuha rent assistance when you do not have a job and do not have children.

  @packerx I was about to ask about this information.
  We are planning to move in AU na this year(our visa was granted last 2012 pa). And we are checking if may makukuha kaming benefits while my husband is looking for a job. We have a 20 months old baby.

  @mariam .. you can go to this website ang make an assessment.. you can check kung magkano ang maibibigay sa inyo or kung anong benefits ang pwede nyong i avail...
