Health Benefits for PR?

Ask ko lang sana if may idea kayo about health benefits sa Au. My mom would like to undergo ng Total Knee replacement and Hand surgery para sa Carpal Tunnel Syndrome alin man po dyan mauna which I think ung sa kamay muna. Papano ba ang benefits sa mga PR to such operations. May babayaran po ba kami on both at papano yung proseso?

    @amcasperforu..pag sa public hospital everything is free as long as u have the medicare card. But I think there's a waiting period for that.. bsta hindi namn masyadong critical ang situation.. e aassess nla ung mom mo and then e seschedule kung kailan ooperahan..waiting time mostly 3-6months.

    06-01-11: Arrived Australia (457 visa dependent on my dad)
    28-05-12: Lodged RSMS 857 visa (seperate from my dad already)
    28-06-12: Done Medical check
    30-10-12: Submit AFP check
    07-11-12: Went home on a bridging visa B for holiday and wedding..:)
    12-01-13: CO allocated and nomination approved
    18-01-13: CO asked documents of my husband to be included on my application as migrating dependent..Thank u LORD!
    15-02-13: Husband completed all requirements (police check, medical, english requirements and joint statement)
    15-02-13: CO issued pre-grant letter instructing hubby to apply tourist visa to enter Australia in order our 857 visa to be granted.
    27-02-13: Hubby applied Subclass 676 tourist visa.
    06-03-13: Hubby's tourist visa approved.
    16-03-13: Hubby arrived Australia.
    18-03-13: Our RSMS 857 visa granted.. (nothing to ask more)

    @nfronda Salamat sa pag reply. Ganun po pala ang health system sa Australia. Before pinag iisipan namin na dito sya ipa opera kasi we are thinking mas makakamura sa pinas kaysa sa Australia thinking yung standard of living dyan. Pero kung libre pala though may waiting time oks na oks pala. May nababasa kasi ako 2 yrs pero sana hindi naman ganun katagal sayang din kasi yung panahon na sana nakakapag enjoy and having quality of life nya. :)

    Kung sakali may pang opera naman kayo kay Mom mo Maganda din naman sa Pinas while waiting for the Visa. Dito sa Australia dipende kung saan state kayo mapunta kung maraming tao sa state na pinuntahan nyo mas matagal ang pila. Dipende din naman sa situation ng mom mo kung talagang kailangan na operahin nasa GP (Doctor kung urgent ba o hindi) pero talaga ang proseso dito magaantay kayo pipila kayo or nasa queue. Libre naman basta memeber ang mom mo ng medicare.

    @TotoyOZresident thank you. Sa NSW ang state namin ng mom ko. Yung GP consultation fee libre po ba at papano yung process nun pupunta lang kami kahit saang hospital public or private sa NSW?

    May nakita po akong site ng AU govt regarding waiting time baka makatulong din sa mga may same situation as ours in the future:
