COE from previous employers

Hello po,

Is it common for Australian employers to ask for COE from previous employment during the hiring process? Or they just focus on the resume and cover letter? Is there any other document they normally request?

    Not really common. They focus on CV, Cover Letter and if you have work rights in Australia.

    You need the COE for Visa application (for 189/190 at least)

    Dec 08 '16 - Lodged Visa 189
    Dec 10 '16 - Medicals for me and wife in Nationwide
    Dec 19 '16 - CO Contact. Requesting Payslips of prev. companies
    Jan 10 '17 - Submitted BIR 2316 and Payslips
    Feb 14 '17 - GRANT!!!
    Mar 3 '17 - CFO - PDOS Seminar
    Apr 5 '17 - Big Move
    April 6 '17 - Arrived at Melbourne
    April 26 '17 - First day of work
