Visa 489 Family Sponsored

Hello PinoyAU! I'm just a newbie here. We have recently received invitation for visa 489 family sponsored. Question, if yung relative namin is from WA, limited ba kami to stay in WA din or can we stay in ANY of the designated areas once visa is approved? Wala po bang prob later on pag nag-apply kami ng 887 if we stay in a region na not same ng relative namin (as long as we stay in one of the designated areas)?

@misisv do you mind po if I ask what occupation? Medyo tricky yung question I would advise asking immigration about this. Kasi my clause dun sa Visa 887 na:

"have lived in a specified regional area of Australia for at least two years"
So I think it's a given na in your 489 you will specify your sponsor's area as WA, they might require you to stay in that area you specified to be eligible for 887. It's also required din kasi for you to live in that area for 2 years. So I think you will be questioned. But really, I'm not sure about this. Congrats on the invitation.

@guenb thank you sa reply. appreciate it. si husband po ang main applicant. telecoms engineer yung occupation niya. i agree na medyo tricky yung condition kaya we are trying to ask around din baka kasi may mga successful 887 visa applicants from 489 na nakakaalam ng ganung scenario.We'll try to clarify na nga lang din sa immig.
