457 to 189 but different occupations

Hello sa inyo. Seeking for inputs kung may naka-experience na ng ganito, or you have heard of the same situation...

Magkakaproblem ba with Immi if:
a. Currently on visa 457 with nominated occupation as X (processed by company agent, 457 applicant did not have control over the occupation to nominate)
b. Will apply for Visa 189 (independent, not company sponsored) but different occupation from 457, let's say occupation Y. This should have been the nominated occupation in visa 457.
c. Will use experience earned on visa 457 in applying for visa 189.

Appreciate if you can share your experiences / knowledge.

are you claiming points from your 457 work experience? Kse ang understanding ko dyan you can only get points kung yung nominated occupation mo at yung working experience mo ay related, kse kung magkalayo sila ng nature you cannot get points from it.

I agree. In my humble opinion, kung related naman ung occupation X and Y, wala naman cguro problema. Depende na lang sa points na ibibigay ng assessment authority.

Khit di sakto pero closely related you can get points ang di pede yung talagang mgkaiba like example nung MARA Agent sa amin Surgeon ka tas nominated occupation mo asa trades hehe.. kung ma iiconnect mo si x and y then you can have points from it

@leah28 @papajay07 ganto kase yun. Ang occupation sa 457 eh systems analyst tapos ang skill talaga for 189 eh accountant. During the 457 application, the company HR provided the job description to the agency which if you will take a closer look, described the role as partly accoubtant and partly admin role. So naka stated sa 457 visa mo system analyst? Pero yung ginagawa mo dyan eh related sa accounting?

@leah28 yes. Although pag tinignan mo yung job description eh di naman accounting tasks lahat, meron din admin. So yun ang problem. If I claim points for that as an accountant, baka maconfuse si case officer kase systems analyst tapos di naman pala, tapos yung totoong job eh may pagka admin ng konti... thanks pala for the inputs ha

@orange11 I think, as long as makakuha ka ng work cert indicating na ang responsibility mo sa company is accounting tapos un gamitin mo for assessment, positive kalalabasan. I think the CO relies on the assessment authority. Basta positive result sa assessment, the CO won't challenge that.
