How can I be sponsored by my brother?

Hi po,

My Brother is already a citizen residing in Melboure, pa ask lang po kung paano process na need namin gawin para ma sponsor nya ako.. Would like to migrate din sa Mel and i think the required IELTS score is lower if sponsored compared to independent .

You can be sponsored under 489 visa family sponsored but skilled migrant category pa rin and your skill should be in SOL, you can check www.border.gov.au for other options..the english req is based on the min required for your skill, you can claim points if min 7 in all subtest

ok thanks sir, is it still a minimum of 60 points to pass the migration for 489 visa?

based from their point system , i think i will reach 60 points if i just passed the IELTS with 7 mark in all cats.

But I've read somewhere that there is also additional 10 points if I'm "Sponsored by an Eligible Family Member" ? Is this true?

Because I think i will still have 60 points in case I did not make the 7 score in IELTS.

@tictac yes, addtl 10 points if sponsored by family..kung kaya mo 60 points without family sponsorship..mas mabuti kasi may condition yong visa mobpag sponsored

@tictac yong family sponsored na 489 visa is provisional..di pa permanent...you can apply PR visa after 2 years provided you lived 2 yers and worked 1 year fulltime in designated area

Kung kya mo kunin sa ielts yung 7 to make your points 60 you can do 189 kase mas may freedom ka and yung gastos same lng taz PR ka na mas ok yun kse.... but if may iba k png concern like you cant get 7 at the moment so you will fall to 50 points and through family sponsor youll get 10 points at ma fulfill mo yung 60 points so 489 is suited fo you.

@leah28 yong 489 di na points system..kailangan lang macomply mo yong 2 years residency and 1 year fulltime(any work, pwede di tuloytuloy basta 35 hrs per week) to apply for PR :-)

Oh i see pero yung initial point system pa din sa 489? So ok lng pla kung mag 489 sya taz transition sa pr yun lng mag double payment di nman cguro free yung transition to pr ng 489 hehehe .. Wala nman pla problema

@fgs just ask even yung skill assessment nya di na need when he do transition to pr? Just in case lumagpas n yung validity, i reckon eilts will be needed p din pero lower na . Before we came here kase sa oz yung employer sponsorship walang skill assessment taz ngayon meron na din.. I edited my comment sa taas to avoid confusion

@leah28 yes yong 489 same process-skilled migrant din sya kaya lang provisional..you have4 years to comply the req to apply for PR 887 visa..around 300$ ang fee

Regional area lng yan @fgs? Tlaga 300$ .. lng kmi almost 4 years n din 457 so nag 190 kmi all together asa 7k+$ yung lodgement excluded pa yung meds at ibang gastos haha

I know di kmi pede sa 887. just sharing what we have been through pede lng kmi sa 189, 190 and company sponsorship

kse transition from 457 yung stream nmen, im just comparing the fees

but anyway we prepare Melbourne rather than regional areas kase yung mga kids mas ok school dito i guess mas maraming choices and even scholarship starting secondary schools
